Mary Van Keuren spent much of her professional life in the realm of higher education. She was the director of publications and editor of the alumni magazine at Nazareth College of Rochester for many years, successfully producing an award-winning journal of college activities several times a year. She also served as director of communications at Asbury First United Methodist Church in Rochester and spent five years teaching English at a girls secondary school in rural Tanzania, East Africa.

Seven years ago, Mary successfully launched her own business, offering editorial and writing services primarily to companies engaged with digital content creation and those in the higher education sector. Her clients include Red Ventures, Homefield Digital, and Northeast College of Health Sciences. The focus of her work is primarily in the fields of personal finance and insurance.
