What has been your proudest professional moment this year?

The enormous growth and development of the team while continuing to hit and surpass targets. The team takes on tests, adjustments, or changes with grace and ease while enhancing efficiency throughout. I could not be prouder to be a part of and lead an amazing group of people.

How do you inspire your team?

Don’t be the expert or act like it. Create a space where the team feels open to sharing their perspective, what they want to achieve and be a partner with them in achieving it. If you truly care about the people that report to you, they will care about the work they are doing.

How have you shown leadership in your current role?

Tough question. I don’t actively look for a way to be a leader because my job is to create a world that allows members of the team to be developed to be better, more efficient, be creative, and to have a fun place to work. I hope I’m able to do that as much as possible.

What do you love most about Ethos?

I love the collaborative culture here, where everyone feels valued and encouraged to share their ideas. It fosters innovation in an industry that seems archaic at times. Plus, the organization is committed to protecting families and that is something I’m proud to be a part of.

Who has been your greatest mentor, and how have they impacted you professionally?

I can’t give this to one specific person. I’ve been lucky enough to have mentors that gave me a shot with others wouldn’t, some showed me what hard work really was, others changed the way I approach problem solving and data review and most importantly they taught and showed me how to be a better human, not just a leader.
