We’ve had a great first half of 2021 here at Ethos:

• We’ve got new offices in Austin, TX and Singapore, offering life insurance in 49 states, and a goal of doubling our team size by 2021 year-end
• We raised $200 million in Series D funding from investors, making us a $2 billion company
• Revenue and users have each grown by more than 500 percent year over year, and we expect to issue $20 billion of life insurance coverage in 2021, surpassing all competitors

Still, we know there’s more we can do. Our mission is to protect families - not just more families but more kinds of families, of all ages and occupations, including people who haven’t thought about life insurance before, who thought they couldn’t qualify, or who thought they couldn’t afford it.

That’s why we’re thrilled to welcome SoftBank Vision Fund 2 as an investor. Their $100 million investment, announced today, brings our total funding to over $400 million and our valuation to $2.7 billion. As the world’s biggest private technology investor, the SoftBank Vision Funds have invested more than $3 billion in insurtech companies around the globe. By enabling us to further expand our offerings and provide a best-in-class user experience, the funding will help us protect the next million families.
